I don't know which play is better but I think that one issue that hasn't been mentioned, or at least emphasized, by others is that there is a distinction between Black's priming potential and Black's attacking potential. Black has both here, but it looks to me that the priming threat is greater than the attacking threat. Anchoring is usually more urgent when the threat is an attack.
I'm curious as to what Stick meant when he said that this problem stinks.
