The best defense is a good offense.

In this position, you are clearly on the defense. You are down in the race slightly, and he has more inner board points and more builders to play either a hitting or priming game, so this calls for a defensive play: make opponent's 4 point.

Down in the race ever so slightly but does that really argue for making an anchor in general?

He only has more inner board points then you if you don't make the five point otherwise you have equalized there. You also both have the same number of men in the zone, nine. His distribution is somewhat better for attacking/priming.

Again, this play must be right, or if wrong, not by much. The other play might be right, but if wrong, it could be wrong by a lot.

Just like making the 5pt can't be wrong by much ;)

I suspect they're damn close.
