Like an old general stuck in the past, condemned to fight the last war rather than the current one, I have waffled back and forth during the last two cube decisions. At the end of the last game, I was not aggressive enough, and last turn it seems I overcorrected, wanting to cube aggressively. (Last turn, my choice was right for money games, but I failed to adjust enough to compensate for score.)Wrong twice now, I was tempted to swing back to the conservative side, and perhaps with good reason. Although we have a 9th checker in the zone, our position is not all that much better than it was last turn. A big difference, however, is that we have the 5pt slotted. With 23 ways to cover, and a few rolls that make the 4pt, we definitely have more potential market losers than last time.
