2a - 5a cube vs fish

Playing in Croatian Backgammon Tour where the level of play is generally weak, I have gained a lots of experience on how the fish are most likely to react in different situations.
One thing I've learned is: if I am 2-away vs X-away, and the position looks relatively normal to them they are snatching the cube faster than light. This is true for almost any type of fish, whether they're actually takers or passers.
I've seen the similar trend in my GG matches as well, so I guess it's not just Croatian fish who act this way. :)
