In Response To: difficulties in the middle game (konstantin)

White's threats are not enough to play safe with 8/4 5/4; I'd make the 5pt with 6/5. After that I'm not sure whether to slot the 7pt or the 4pt. 11/7 somewhat duplicates White's 6's, and threatens to hem in white's anchor by making our bar. On the other hand I'm happier to break my 8pt to make the 4pt than I am to break my midpoint to make the 7pt. I would try 8/4.
