Why are the Daily Quizzes so unpopular?

I agree with everyone else here in that there are many reasons that they are unpopular. I will take part of the blame for falling miserably behind on the recaps. However, their unpopularity had set in well before I was behind. This is the reason that I switched from 5 problems to 3 problems. I felt 5 problems was too much and that people weren't replying for that reason.
It seems that 3 problems may still be too much to conquer in one post. The odd thing to me is though that they still get so few views. I would understand them only getting a scant amount of replies but these good problems aren't even getting looked at. Here I thought these were backgammon forums.
I am also unwilling to accept the public humiliation avoidance. I post these problems because for the most part they came up in my games and I spent some time on them and may or may not have got them right. Other times I have taken difficult decisions from live matches where there was much discussion and many opinions about the plays. So good players have already got the problems wrong, I don't buy that putting it in a post on the internet to live eternally is going to scar anyone for life.
Part of it is everyone knows what to expect when they click on it, 3 boring backgammon problems. Whenever I get tired of seeing the 20-40 views I toss something in the title to assure that for once people click on it. For example recently:
- Daily Quiz 4/13 - Vegas Positions (views: 106)
- Daily Quiz 4/15 + Catchy Title! (views: 104)
If you look at all the daily quizzes surrounding those dates you will see your standard 40+ views. People are drama whores and people want a story. When they see a different title they hope there is some commentary or bg drama within' the post so they click.
There is also way too much information out there. Not only 'out there' on the internet with Gammonvillage and Gammonu and rec.games.bg and the DG forums and Hardy's forums and the Danish forums and not to mention this person's blog or that person's FB problem page or or or...but on these forums alone there are a ton of posts. It's too much to handle sometimes esp. if we're counting on people to reply to 3 problems.
My plan right now is to finish the DQRs through everyone's subscription and then cut them off. I may offer something different/new but they definitely have an expiration date.
