Why are the Daily Quizzes so unpopular?

Regarding the 441 on "OT. Supidity poll. DON'T click if you're smart." , half the "clicks" were generated by me. However the title is definitely a lure for almost anyone who comes to the forum including donkeys/lurkers/experts.
I really respect those who publish interesting positions, and take the time to do it. However, in my case I don't really consider myself a student of the game, and don't generally study the game. When the Daily Quizzes started I use to read them all, and occasionally commented. I quickly realized the view of a mediocre player aren't valuable so I stopped responding, and eventually that lead to a level of apathy and I couldn't be bothered to even click on them.
At my level there is information overload. BGO is only one of a plethora of forums I frequent ranging on a variety of topics (Not just Backgammon). I have to be choosy about the threads I read, and to be honest threads with interesting titles are more likely to catch my attention. I know many people that are simply "lurkers" here (on BGO) now reading and never really post because they feel out of place among the elite posters.
I would be more inclined to click on a Weekly Quiz with a few positions. If a weekly quiz appeared on a weekend when I have more time to dedicate to reading, I would be more inclined to read it.
