I count 17 shots after 8/6 and 21 shots after 7/5. Four shot difference is concerning, but there is a lot going for slotting the 5-point:

Better point to own, easier to cover, fewer shots left in the process of covering, better spare distribution if hit, better block of the hitting checker (on our 5-point vs. on our 7-point) when hit.

Does all that counter the extra four shots? I hope so because I'm voting for...
