So you're saying that if someone picks up the dice early the penalty should be to make them roll, you then decide if you want that roll to stand, and if not they roll again? Sounds like too much hogwash to me. In general I also prefer penalties that I know will be penalties. This allows many scenarios where the offender goes unpunished.

You also said in your first post 'And it avoids the need to play games with the clock.' How do you figure that one?
