Another levanter told me, not to play bone dice, out of the hand. And he shows me the trick. One dice with the six for example on top. Put a little bit saliva on the surface. Put the other dice on the six. If you throw this package, the dice with the six will land on the surface. The mass from the dice above, which bounces away, will fix the other dice on the ground, facing the six on top. Cleverly thrown against the wall, it will look like both die will bounce.

Since this lecture i play only precision dice, rounded corners, cups with inner lips. If both die don't tumble, i will call the roll. And i will only say, backgammon needs complete randomness, for a correct variance.
