Bot analysis in poker is not the same as bot analysis in backgammon. Poker is not a game of perfect information, and bluffing and psychology play a much larger role in poker than in backgammon. The bot verdict in backgammon is a commentary killer.

I'll say that my opinion here is based on years of watching people comment on a position with and without bot information. When people comment in real time on a position with bot information available, what they have to say is utter crap most of the time. They make up a fairy tale about why the bot play is right and pass that off as "analysis." It's crap, I tell you. Utter crap. Most of the time, anyway. I don't want to hear that fawning sycophantic crap passed off as commentary. I want to hear what a strong player honestly thinks of the position.
