Actually, this is a classic way to counter prime, and make us break our 6prime sooner.

All Stick needs to do here is hit us, make his bar point, then slot out his acepoint, hoping we hit back, and force us to crack our 6prime while he has a full prime which is unbreakable.

Yes, its not a easy path, but the other key thing here is that he doesnt need to immediately make his bar point, he just needs to get it slotted, so that he can rehit / make it / we dont roll any 6s. Our timing only improves assuming that he is forced to bring all checkers round very quickly, and that basically crashes his homeboard.

I think its important to note that this is a good position for us, but there are some unpleasant combinations which really really hurt us. Besides, I do it often enough myself (and get it done to me) to make sure of the key aspects of the strategy. All it takes is a nasty looking 33/44/55/65/64/54 to really sting us. (whilst stuck on his acepoint)
